Wood River Drilling and Pump was started in 1972 by a local in the Wood River Valley, Ken Smith. When Ken first started the business, he made it a point to offer the best service for a great price. Which is something we strive for today. After many years of drilling wells, servicing pump systems, running parts for the crew and answering phones, Ken decided to retire in 2011. Ken sold the business to long-time employee, Ray Freeman and his wife Joanne. Ray joined the team in 1988 focusing on the service side of the business, allowing Ken to focus on drilling. Ray and Joanne decided to retire after a few years of owning the business in 2015. They sold the business to their son, Brandon Freeman, and his wife Jennifer. Brandon and Jennifer continue to run the business today.
